The training and development courses planned for 2011 are listed in the events section here. The club runs the following courses for members:-

All courses are open to Club Members and are run on Wednesdays, Thursdays (Juniors) and Sundays.

I understand that Canoeing and kayaking are “assumed risk” “water contact sports” that may carry attendant risks. I have read and understand the Club rules and policies put in place to assist management of these risks.  I also understand that whilst the club provides insurance for third party risks and for its equipment, the club does not provide insurance for members personal equipment nor does it accept liability for, nor provide insurance for, personal injuries or consequential losses.                                             Accepted

Wednesday Paddle Power Start / BCU 1 star

Thursdays (Junior) Paddle Power Start / BCU 1 star

Sunday Paddle Power Start / BCU 1 star

Paddlepower Start and BCU 1 star courses are open to any Club Member. Courses run for 7 weeks and if you do not have your own boat, boat hire is £12 for the 6 weeks. There will be 1 suitable trip organised during the course.

Wednesday Paddle Power Discover / BCU 2 star

Thursday (Jnr) Paddle Power Discover / BCU 2 star

Sunday Paddle Power Discover / BCU 2 star

Paddlepower Discover and BCU 2 star courses are open to Club Members who have completed either Paddle power start or BCU 1*. Courses run for 9 weeks and if you do not have your own boat, boat hire is £16 for the 8 weeks. There will be 2 trips organised.

Wednesday Beginners Marathon and Competition

Interested in 3* Development

Development and BCU 3 star courses are open to Club Members who have completed Paddlepower Discover or BCU 2* courses. Boat hire (£2 per session) will depend on the course, its length and is not required if you have suitable equipment.
