On 11/6/11 the Sutton Bingham canoe club went to Exeter to paddle down the river
Exe, this was my first ever time in a canoe but I was excited to give it a go,
Some of us had a little trouble getting in the water but we eventually got there,
my brother even managed a seal drop.
We paddled right down to the double locks and Simon said I was doing pretty well.
There were a few disastrous events such as some of us nearly fell out or some of
our boats filled to the brim with water and was hard to change direction.
When we got there we stopped off at the pub for some food, and the instructors had a pint of Ale.
After that we got back in the water I dropped my paddle in but got it out after a
struggle soon after my mum fell in which I've got to admit was pretty funny especially
Nick telling her to CALM 
DOWN!!
We paddled on past all the swans and signets, we were exhausted at the end we all tried to dry off whilst shivering like crazy but it didn't really work very well.
Thank you very much to Simon for encouraging me to give it a go, and to everyone for being so friendly. I managed to secure myself a wet suit from AS watersports (thanks mum), so I will see you all again tomorrow at Sutton Bingham Reservoir.
